Multimedia Archives

During the course of each academic year, a number of interesting workshops and conferences take place at the School of Law. Many of these events are recorded and made available on the internet. The technology available for creating these audio and video archives is evolving rapidly as is the technology needed to provide access to the archives over the Internet. Audio archives can be streamed over any Internet connection; video archives require a broadband connection.

Seminars and Conferences

Education at the School of Law is not confined to the classroom and the Library. Members of the School of Law community, both faculty and students, organize and participate in academic conferences each year which enrich the educational and professional life of the law school. Beginning in the Fall of 2001, we have instituted streaming video in QuickTime format of some of our conferences, beginning with the fifth in our annual series of conferences on the work of the Supreme Court of the United States for the previous Term. Beginning in 2007, many of the video archives are presented either using Flash video or in both Flash Video and QuickTime video. The Flash Video is downloaded to your computer as it plays; the QuickTime video is being streamed to your computer and is not at any point resident on your computer.

Travel directions to the Law School are also provided.
