Peter Adomeit

Peter Adomeit
Professor of Law

Professor Adomeit is a Labor Arbitrator and Mediator and a member of the faculty since 1978. A member of Phi Beta Kappa and a former Law Clerk to Judges James R. Browning and J. Warren Madden of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, he practiced with the San Francisco law firm of Neyhart and Grodin. He has served as a U.S. District Court Special Master. He has written on subjects of labor law, labor arbitration, civil procedure, judicial administration, and alternative methods of dispute resolution.

Baldwin

William G. Baker
Professor of Law

Professor Baker, a member of the faculty since 1975, is a former Law Clerk to New York State Supreme Court Judge Andrew V. Siracuse. He has been a consultant to the Rochester, New York, law firms of Kaufman, Kenning, Tyle and D’Amanda and Pauley & Barney. Professor Baker is coeditor of The Law of Liability Insurance. He is a frequent program participant, speaking in the areas of estate planning and real estate transactions. His pro bono work often consists of assisting not-for-profit corporations.

Baldwin

Bridgette Baldwin
Associate Professor of Law

Ph.D., Candidate, Northeastern University

Upon graduation from law school, Professor Baldwin worked as a Staff Attorney for the Criminal Defense Division of the Legal Aid Society in New York City. She later became a Staff Attorney for the Bronx Defenders in the Bronx, NY. Professor Baldwin has also worked as an in-house Counsel for a major insurance company and with the law firm of James P. Nunemaker & Associates. In 2001, she became a Visiting Assistant Professor in the College of Criminal Justice at Northeastern University. She is also currently ABD in the Northeastern University Law, Policy, and Society program. Her areas of interest include criminal law and procedure, evidence, critical race theory, and welfare law. Her scholarly work has examined the intersection of the Ninth Amendment and social movements, as well as, the convergence of race, class and gender on welfare reform legislation.

bouchard

Philip W. Bouchard
Professor of Law Emeritus
A.B., Boston University
J.D., Boston University School of Law

A former member of the Marquette Law School faculty, Professor Bouchard also served as an Assistant Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and practiced law in Boston for 10 years before joining the faculty in 1973. He served as the Legal Advisor to the Commissioner of Mental Health (Massachusetts), and Special Prosecutor for the District Attorney's Office, Ozaukee County, Wisconsin. He has published articles on a variety of legal topics. Professor Bouchard retired from the faculty in 2005.

Buzuvis

Erin E. Buzuvis
Associate Professor of Law
B.S., University of New Hampshire
J.D., Cornell Law School

Professor Buzuvis researches and writes about gender discrimination in sport. She has published articles about Title IX in such journals as the Iowa Law Review and the William and Mary Journal of Women and Law and she is a cofounder and contributor to The Title IX Blog. In addition to a seminar about sports, law and culture, she also teaches property and administrative law. Prior to joining the faculty in 2006, she clerked for Judge Thomas Ambro of the Third Circuit and practiced law at Goodwin Procter in Boston. She also spent time as a Visiting Professor at the University of Iowa College of Law.
